Our fresh, fragrant and deep pink damask rose petals are sourced from a small family-run farm that practices natural farming in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The roses are grown regeneratively, without pesticides, in a rich ecosystem alongside a collection of tropical fruit trees. The petals are perfectly sun dried which helps retain their colour and lock in their delicate flavour.Â
Roses have for centuries been a symbol of love, but this great flower (especially the damask variety) also has a long culinary history as a flavouring in a wide range of dishes and desserts. Adding one or two petals to warm water makes a heavenly infusion with the most alluring “English rose” fragrance. Try adding a petal or two to a glass of iced tea for a heady high summer drink.Â
